Our love story is one of laughter, adventure, and countless memories in our Old Kentucky home. It all began in October of our freshman year at the University of Kentucky—Go Cats! After crossing paths a few times while hanging out with friends, we discovered one Friday night that we shared the same Psychology 101 class. That following Monday, Zack was sitting in the back row of our psychology class, where Kathryn always sat, and from there, our story truly began.
We both felt incredibly lucky to have found someone special so early in our college years. Together, we navigated the ups and downs of college life, growing closer each day. But when college ended, life took us in different directions. Zack moved to Florida for graduate school, while Kathryn headed to Louisville to complete nursing school. Though it was difficult, we parted ways.
Fast forward a few years, a pandemic and fate stepped in. Kathryn, then living in Nashville, ran into several of Zack’s fraternity brothers. What seemed like a simple night of Kathryn catching up with friends became the turning point of the rest of our story. Soon after, Zack reached out to Kathryn, and after two years of no contact, we quickly realized the spark we once had was still there. A few months later, Zack made the move to Nashville, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After seven years of dating, Zack proposed to Kathryn in July 2024 during a family vacation on Amelia Island. The joy we felt was overwhelming—though we’re still not sure who was more excited: us, our families, or our puppy, Franklin!
Now, as we step into this next chapter of our lives, we are filled with excitement to continue our journey together, hand in hand. Thank you all for being a part of our story and for supporting us along the way. We can’t wait to finally say “I do” and celebrate our love with the people who mean the most to us!
